comments of the week

Thank you for all the responses to last week’s question!

How do you most enjoy reading? Do you like to get stuck into a paper book (or read on a device) or do you prefer an audio book? What reading habits do you enjoy or what reading habits would you like to adopt?

Well done to Ekaete in Year 5 and Eleanor in Year 4 for your winning responses!

I mostly enjoy reading when I am in a quiet environment, but I also like listening to audio books. A reading habit I would like to adopt to is to read more of a variety of books because a lot of the books I read are from the same genre. My favourite books are Wonder, Mr Stink and the Odyssey and my favourite authors are Roald Dahl and David Walliams. I always get stuck in a book because sometimes I get left on a cliff hanger so I have to keep on reading.

Ekaete (Year 5)

I prefer reading picture less paper books because then you can improve your vocabulary and also imagine how the pictures might look like. I prefer reading before going to sleep on my bed because it makes me feel more sleepy so I can get to sleep faster. I would like to adopt a reading habit of not beginning a new book until I have finished the book I have already started reading. My favourite are Mary Poppins, Isadora Moon, books about rocks and minerals and science fiction books.

Eleanor (Year 4)
